Samsung American Fridge Freezers …
… Have completely revolutionised the large fridge freezer market in recent years … check out Samsung American Fridge Freezers, it will be worth your while.
If you go back to the 1980s all American Fridge Freezer sides were encased in Stainless Steel (well, they are designed to be freestanding “stand-alone” appliances), and as such, were very expensive … you could easily expect to pay £2/3k for even a basic model.
When Samsung American Fridge Freezers entered the UK market, they looked slightly different, because gone was the Stainless-Steel Casing, being replaced with a “slightly metallic finish.
This was perfect for the UK market because most buyers were looking to “partly enclose” the appliance within adjacent cabinets (to give it a bit of a “built-in look”) so saying goodbye to the Stainless Steel Casing (and its associated cost ) was never a problem.
Then, by slashing the prices of their appliances to under £1k, Samsung American Fridge Freezers quickly became the most popular in the UK
(Companies such as Panasonic, LG, and others are now closing the gap!)
American Fridge Freezers …
Come in a variety of Fridge/Freezer/Door combinations.
The two-door standard type feature a large fridge and a smaller freezer (the freezer is slightly smaller because it houses the in-built filters water/ice dispenser)
The “French Door” type is becoming popular; it features two fridge doors (same width) above two freezer drawers below – these do not normally feature the water/ice dispenser.
Let’s look at the most popular models that seem to be sold in the UK.
I design hundreds of kitchen layouts for clients every year … and these two are the most popular models I am asked to include in their designs …
